Principal's Welcome Message

Dear Kennedy Families,

We want to take this opportunity to welcome you to Kennedy Elementary School. Whether you have been a part of the Kennedy family for many years or you are new to us, we look forward to working with you and your children throughout the year. We are so excited to welcome students back in person with us this fall!

Kennedy Elementary serves students in 4K through 5th grade. We are a large elementary school of approximately 550 learners, and pride ourselves on building a tight-knit community and meaningful connections with our students and families. Our staff is dedicated to creating an environment that is safe, culturally responsive, rigorous, and supportive of learning.

We recognize this year brings opportunities and challenges, as we work to welcome our students back in person five days a week. We know last year had its share of challenges with frequent changes. This year we plan to meet students right where they are to serve their academic and social/emotional needs. We are committed to providing welcoming classroom communities paired with rigorous instruction, all while maintaining strong Covid safety mitigation practices. We look forward to partnering with you every step of the way to make this the best learning experience possible for your student(s)! We aim to ensure that every student actively engages in the learning process to become career and college ready.

Please be sure to reach out to introduce yourself and share any questions or concerns. We look forward to partnering with you. Once again, on behalf of the Kenendy Elementary Staff, welcome to the JFK School family!

Sincerely,

Mandy Harvey, Principal
